Blue Lights Season 2: Filming Locations and Production Update
Belfast Remains Central to the Show's Production
Season 2 Shot in Familiar and New Locations
As with its first season, the entirety of Blue Lights season 2 was shot in Belfast, Northern Ireland. However, this time around, the production team utilized specific new areas in addition to familiar ones.
Prominent locations used in season 2 include Dundonalds, Coopers Mill, the Monkstown area of Newtownabbey, and Granton Park. These diverse settings contribute to the authentic and immersive experience that the show provides.
The second season of Blue Lights consists of six episodes, titled "Where I Want to Be." Filming for season two commenced during the summer of 2023 in Belfast. Further casting announcements are expected in the near future.
Set in contemporary Belfast, Blue Lights follows the lives of three police officers: young officers Annie Conlon and Tommy Foster, and Grace, a 41-year-old who has recently transitioned from a different career. The show explores their personal and professional challenges, offering a nuanced portrayal of policing in modern society.
